Painting Photographs are investigations into the materiality of paint through the technical apparatus of photography. Wet paint was poured and swirled by hand and the surface photographed close up, whilst still moving. Highlighting the medium’s visceral quality, the work embodies the sensuousness of paint and the intangibility of photography.
